Welcome to the Ministry of Business and Employment

The Honourable Neil Costa MP, Minister for Business and Employment welcomes you to the Ministry’s website.

This website has been established for the purposes of informing the public of issues that fall within the remit of his portfolio.

The Ministry is based at Suite 735, 3rd Floor, Europort. It is the central hub that coordinates the three Ministerial portfolios which fall under his responsibility. Officials work to ensure that the wide range of responsibilities, briefings and duties discharged by the Minister are expeditiously accomplished.

Minister Costa is the Chairman of the Small Business Board and the Development Appeals Board. He also holds frequent meetings with different committees and organisations and other businesses hoping to start a new venture in Gibraltar. Minister Costa also attends weekly cabinet meetings and regular parliament sessions.

The Principal Secretary, Mrs Debbie Garcia, heads the Ministry and is assisted by Charmaine who organises the Minister’s diary. Krystle is the Minister’s Personal Secretary; she attends meetings and supports the Principal Secretary. The accounting responsibility of the Ministry falls with Geraldine. Sueyenne is responsible for Business and Administration and supports the Principal Secretary with all Employment matters. Elka and Christian are responsible for Commercial Affairs, the Business Support Unit and administration. They are readily assisted by Jyanne, Melanie and Chanelle, who deal with general administrative and reception duties. John Paul Fa is the legal counsel at the Ministry who advises the Minister, Principal Secretary and their team on a wide range of legal matters.
